Ashley Borchilo - Top Ten Finalist

Ashley Elizabeth Borchilo is an ambitious 23-year-old graduate student at Gannon University, pursuing a Master’s in Public Administration while employed full-time by the Manufacturer & Business Association of Erie, PA as a Government Relations Specialist.
A 2007 Summa Cum Laude and Honor’s Program graduate of Slippery Rock University (SRU), Ashley earned her Bachelors degree in Communication and Public Relations, with a minor in Women’s Studies.
Active in various university and community activities while at SRU, some of Ashley’s most notable include president of Lambda Pi Eta, Vice-President of Education for the Association of Residence Hall Students, and Vice-President of Colleges Against Cancer.
Look to the sky…a star has been named in Ashley’s honor! Named a “Rising Star” at SRU, Ashley was nominated based on her ability to lead by example, involvement in campus activities and volunteer efforts.
Ashley’s community involvement has ranged from working with the American Cancer Society to serving as Media Relations Coordinator with the Special Olympics at SRU…and everywhere in between!

Ashley encourages children as well as parents/guardians to wear a sunscreen with at least Sun Protection Factor (SPF) 15 everyday, as well as protective clothing (including a hat and sunglasses) while enjoying outdoor activities.
The youngest daughter of Richard and Susan Borchilo, Ashley has one sister, Angela. When not busy with work or school, Ashley loves to spend time with the family dogs, cross-stitch, keep up with politics, shop, and enjoy the four seasons Pennsylvania has to offer!
